My journey into art began long before I graduated from Fine Arts at Bolton University in 2008. Drawing has been a lifelong companion, a way for me to respond to the world around me. Life itself has taught me to draw, shaping my perspective and guiding my brush. I've had the privilege of showcasing my work in several exhibitions, both locally and even abroad in Lisbon. For me, painting is more than a passion; it's a 'Language in Colour', a profound way to express and interpret life's rich tapestry. This painting (among several), was inspired by my time in Cumbria, where I spent three years. I have attempted to capture the landscape and  the drama of the hills and mountains. (Oil on canvas)

Exciting times are ahead! I have a small exhibition planned at Chorley Library for the entire month of July 2026, where I'll be showcasing my 'Canal Colours' body of work. Beyond that, I'm immersed in creating some animal illustrations, which I hope to transform into a small illustrated book. I have previously published 'Northern Nans going into Lockdown' (2022) and 'Lilith and the Labyrinth: a journey into the unknown' (2014). You can also look forward to more 'Northern Nan' illustrations in the near future!.
